We will be having a private ceremony and will join our guests for an evening, adult-only celebration at the Columbia Yacht Club's Aft Deck on the Chicago lakefront.
The party begins at 7p; cocktail attire is requested.
Join us for dancing, entertainment - and fireworks!
A risotto/gnocchi bar will be featured as well as passed hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, wine and beer. And of course, dessert.
Click for driving, rideshare, and walking directions as well as parking information!
Our party will be at the Columbia Yacht Club, where we took sailing lessons last summer! It is uniquely located on a 372-foot retired ice-breaker ferry, permanently docked next to DuSable Harbor at the foot of downtown Chicago. The views are incredible! Be sure to check both ways before crossing the busy bike paths on your way to the ship.
Due to the Columbia Yacht Club’s proximity to downtown Chicago, there are many other options when it comes to accommodations if the Blu is not your jam. These options reside in the neighborhoods of Lakeshore East, the Loop, and the South Loop and offer close proximity to the tourist areas of Maggie Dailey Park, Millennium Park, and Museum Campus, respectively. All hotels listed below are all less than 1 mile to the Columbia Yacht Club.
Located closest to the Columbia Yacht Club, Lakeshore East hotels are within a 15 minute walk.
The Loop options offer close proximity to Millennium Park, “the bean,” and the Theater District.
Located across from Grant Park and Museum Campus, the South Loop neighborhood is where the bride and groom call home.
The proposal occurred 15 feet underwater during a shore dive off the coast of Cozumel, Mexico. The question was asked via an underwater slate and gained an emphatic response - with lots of bubbles! At sunset that evening, the engagement was crowned with a private oceanside dinner.
